Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao aka NTR on his 101st birth anniversary. Taking to X, PM Modi remembered him as a ‘remarkable icon’ of the Telugu film industry. He also described him as a ‘visionary leader.’ The BJP leader added that he and the country will work towards fulfilling his vision. NTR was the 10th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and was also Telugu superstar Jr NTR’s grandfather as well.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR visited his grandfather’s memorial, NTR Ghat, on Tuesday to mark his 101st birth anniversary. Tarak was joined by his half-brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. In a video shared on X, the Devara star was seen at the memorial with folded hands. He then sat on the ground with Kalyan and observed a moment of silence. The RRR star remained unfazed by the crowd around him.

NTR’s son, actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna was also spotted at the ghat. He arrived with his team and offered his respects to his late father.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) was a legendary actor, filmmaker and politician. He served as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. In addition, he starred in 300 movies and won three National Awards. He died on January 18, 1996, at his Hyderabad residence.
