As die-hard Rajinikanth fans await the release of his upcoming film Vettaiyan, the actor is already busy shooting another big film, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. Recently, there was an unusual crossover between the two films as the ‘Superstar’ grooved to one of the songs from Vettaiyan on the sets of Coolie. Rajinikanth recently celebrated Onam with his Coolie crew by grooving to the currently trending Manasilaayo track. Sun Pictures shared a behind-the-scenes video from the set of Rajinikanth’s upcoming action-drama Coolie, which is currently in production.
In the clip, Rajinikanth and his team are enjoying the song, Manasilaayo from Vettaiyan on their smartphones, leading to an impromptu dance. The veteran actor is dressed in traditional attire, wearing a green shirt, white mundu and black sunglasses. After the song, director Lokesh Kanagaraj and the crew applauded Rajinikanth’s dance moves. The production company captioned the post, “Superstar celebrating Onam in style from the sets of Coolie” with fire emojis.

Fans went gaga over seeing their favourite superstar break into a spontaneous dance in traditional attire. Many comments talked about the energy that Rajinikanth had in his 70s. One user also noticed that Rajinikanth beckoned Lokesh Kanagaraj to join the spontaneous dance and called it a warm gesture. The song Manasilaayo was released last week and the energy of both Rajinikanth and his Malayalam co-star Manju Warrier was largely appreciated in the song.
A week ago, Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed Rajinikanth’s character name from Coolie. On Twitter, he shared a picture of Rajinikanth with the caption: “Superstar Rajinikanth sir as Deva in Coolie… Thank you so much for this Sir… It’s going to be a blast”
