In just three days of its release, Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra’s film Amar Singh Chamkila has impressed the audience and celebrities alike. Reviews are pouring in for the film, based on the life of Punjabi singer and musician, Amar Singh Chamkila. Now, after watching Imtiaz Ali’s directorial, Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao also shared his opinion in a social media post.
Rajkummar Rao in his review, lauded the entire team and congratulated them. He dropped a poster of the film with a lengthy note that read, “Chamkila is such a brilliant film. Must watch. @diljitdosanjh paji sirf Chamkila dikha, Diljit kahin nahi that aapki performance mein. Rooh mein utar gaye aap. So inspiring. @parineetichopra impeccable performance. @imtiazaliofficial Sir, there’s no one like you. Thank you for giving us Chamkila. @arrahman you’re a legend.”
Meanwhile, the list of celebs seemingly impressed with the film is quite long. Earlier, Parineeti’s sister and global icon Priyanka Chopra also gave a shout-out to her sister and the team of the film. The Citadel actress, on her Instagram Stories, shared a poster with a sweet note saying, “Congratulations Imtiaz Sir, Diljit, Tisha, and the team. Looks so good.”
Meanwhile, the Animal fame actress Triptii Dimri called Amar Singh Chamkila “one of the best films.” Labelling the film as “an honest, pure, beautiful” and a “heartbreaking journey of an artist,” Triptii wrote on her Instagram handle, “Imtiaz Ali, thank you for this masterpiece. It was a treat to the soul. Diljit Dosanjh, I have no words to describe how good you were in the film. We could literally feel the joy and pain of Amar Singh through you. Parineeti was the perfect Amarjot, honest and pure.”
Amar Singh Chamkila is currently streaming on Netflix. The film was released on the OTT giant on April 12.
Speaking of Rajkummar Rao, the actor is headed for the release of his upcoming biopic film Srikanth, based on the life of Srikanth Bolla. The industrialist set an example for others by pursuing his dreams despite visual impairment. The film starring Alaya F, Jyothika and Sharad Kelkar in prominent roles will be released in theatres on May 10.
