The actress revealed that she rejected the offer to play the lead role in the 2005 film Lucky: No Time For Love.

Actress Shraddha Kapoor is one of the most popular figures in the film industry who has given several hits. The actress is now winning the hearts of the audience with her latest release, Stree 2. For the unversed, the actress made her debut in the industry with the film Teen Patti in 2010. But did you know that she was offered her first film opposite Salman Khan when she was just 16?

In an old interview with Hindustan Times, the actress revealed that she was offered to play the lead role in the 2005 film Lucky: No Time For Love, which was later played by Sneha Ullal. The film flopped, but Sneha became famous because she resembled Aishwarya Rai.

Shraddha wanted to make a career in acting, yet she refused to play the lead role opposite Salman Khan because she wanted to complete her studies. The actress said, “I felt that at the age of 15 or 16, I was too young and wanted to finish schooling and attend college. I don’t think getting offers back then has defined my success. But it was difficult to turn it down and focus on studies because it was such a fantastic opportunity to work with Salman Khan.”

After Shraddha Kapoor’s first two films, her career reached new heights when she starred in the iconic romantic musical Aashiqui 2. The film proved to be a big break in her career and she became an overnight sensation. Ever since then, there has been no looking back for the actress. Kapoor appeared in many successful films one after the other, including Chhichhore, Saaho, Stree, ABCD 2, Ek Villain, Baaghi 3 and Stree Dancer 3D, among others.

While speaking to Pinkvilla recently, the actress shared how she sinks in online negativity. “I believe in their (audiences’) love. If you’re getting that, you’re very very blessed in life. The audience is the most important part of films. The audience is the king and queen. As long as I am entertaining them and they are happy with what I am doing,” she said.

Kapoor is currently enjoying the success of Stree 2, the sequel to her horror-comedy franchise, which grossed Rs 283 crore worldwide within days of release. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana.
