Shah Rukh Khan’s inner Kabir Khan woke up at the Kolkata Knight Riders’ match on Sunday. The superstar, who is also a co-owner of the team, travelled to Kolkata on Sunday to attend the match. A video from the match surfaced online showing SRK giving the team members a motivational speech, much like his iconic ’70 minute’ speech from Chak De India. In the video, Shah Rukh encouraged younger players to perform while urged the older players to support their juniors.
“It’s always good to see when we’re playing like a unit. and my request to everybody — senior players and the international players, you have a lot of young kids in the team, take them along. Let them know about your experience. Make sure they grow into great cricketers like what the seniors are and the international players are. All the young kids, thank you so much,” Shah Rukh said.
The speech followed a massive applause with Suhana Khan also cheering for SRK. Watch the video below:

Many fans were reminded of Chak De India as well. “This is sattar minute moment for KKR team in dressing room,” a post read. “This is sattar minute moment for #KKR team in dressing room. #ShahRukhKhan is real life #KabirKhan of
@KKRiders motivating young players & urging senior & international players to share their experiences with the budding talents,” another post read. “Coach Kabir Khan,” a third fan wrote. “Felt like a coach kabir khan,” a fourth user wrote.
On Sunday, KKR dominated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with an 8-wicket win at the Eden Gardens. KKR stayed in second position but now have eight points to their names as LSG, with six points, slipped down to fifth with a poorer Net Run Rate.
Shah Rukh attended the match with his daughter Suhana and son AbRam. Ananya Panday was also spotted at the match with the Khan siblings.
