Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and actor Zaheer Iqbal have begun a new chapter in their lives, exchanging vows in a private registered wedding on June 23 after seven years of dating. The couple, who has long been admired for their chemistry and strong bond, celebrated their union with a grand reception for industry friends and family, marking the joyous occasion.
In the days following their wedding, Sonakshi and Zaheer sat down for an interview, offering a glimpse into their relationship, the wedding, and their future plans. During the interview with Galatta India, Zaheer’s parents shared a touching message for their new daughter-in-law, expressing deep admiration and gratitude. They praised Sonakshi’s kind and genuine nature, remarking that she has a “heart of asli sona” (pure gold) and that they couldn’t imagine anyone better for their son.
“Just wanted to tell you how happy and blessed we are to have you as our daughter now. Seeing you and Zaheer so happy together makes us feel that you are truly meant to be. You have a heart of asli sona only. You have given us so much love and respect and I cannot think anyone better for Zaheer. God bless both of you all, love you, take care, be happy always,” Zaheer’s parents said.
Reflecting on her recent marriage, Sonakshi conveyed her joy and relief at finally tying the knot. “I wished the wedding could have happened sooner, but better late than never,” she told ETimes. Sonakshi shared her happiness and contentment, expressing how being married to Zaheer feels like coming home and cherishing the time they spend together.

Despite the whirlwind of personal events, Sonakshi Sinha has managed to stay dedicated to her professional commitments. She recently starred in the film Kakuda, which was released on July 11.
