Soni Razdan On Delhi Customs Scam: ‘They Intimidate You To Transfer Money For Ordering Illegal Drugs’
Soni Razdan alerted social media users of an ongoing scam where individuals posing to be from Delhi Customs or the police department ask for huge sums of money claiming that the person they are speaking to has purchased illegal drugs.

Soni Razdan has issued a scam warning to the public, citing that she recently faced a similar issue. The actress and mother of Alia Bhatt alerted social media users of a “huge scam” gaining momentum where imposters claiming to be from Delhi Customs ask the receivers to settle an illegal drug purchase matter by paying a hefty remuneration. The fake Customs individuals or police personnel first intimidate the people claiming that they bought illegal substances. When they get scared of the repercussions, the imposters force them to send money assuring that they would take care of the issue.

Soni Razadan shared an elaborate write-up on Instagram highlighting the concerning matter. In a series of slides, the veteran actress wrote, “There is a huge scam going around everyone. Someone calls up pretending to be from Delhi Customs and says you have ordered some illegal drugs. Or they say they are from the police. Then they try to get your Aadhar card number from you. I got the same call. They intimidate you to the point that you transfer a large sum of money to them. The bottom line is don’t fall for it.”

Sharing her own experience, Soni Razdan added that she was sure that the phone call was fake when the imposters asked for her Aadhaar card details. When she refused to give them her Aadhaar Card number immediately, they hung up and did not call back, recalled the Saaransh actress. “But it’s scary. Save any numbers that you get calls from and go to the police. I know of 3 people in the last few weeks who have gotten these calls,” she concluded.

“When I spoke to someone they told me it was a scam and to ignore it. But it seems to be getting worse and honestly, it’s not that difficult to think you’re in trouble even if it’s not your fault. And it’s a mistake. So beware. THIS IS A SCAM,” read Soni Razdan’s caption.
