Sunil Grover Returns In Sunflower Season 2, To Release Soon On Zee5

Sunil Grover, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ranvir Shorey, Mukul Chaddha, and Girish Kulkarni are gearing up for the highly anticipated second season of Sunflower. Building on the immense success and excitement generated by the first season, featuring Sunil Grover, the team is prepared to reveal the next chapter. The producers have officially announced that the upcoming season of Sunflower is scheduled to premiere soon on Zee5.

The makers of Sunflower have recently announced that the first season can be watched for free on the streaming platform. Dropping the announcement teaser, Sunil Grover shared a post on social media.

The caption of the post reads, “High Alert. India’s most loved suspect Sonu is coming back with 2x Bawaal & Fun! #SunflowerS2 coming soon only on #ZEE5. In an official statement, director Vikas Bahl expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response to the first season of Sunflower. He acknowledged the immense love and support received from fans, and highlighted Sunil’s portrayal of Sonu Singh, which deeply resonated with the audience. Looking ahead to the second season, Vikas shared the goal of taking the suspenseful murder mystery to new heights. He promised viewers more layers, increased intrigue, and a deeper exploration of the beloved characters.

The first season of Sunflower premiered on June 11, 2021, including a total of 8 episodes. The web series featured a star-studded cast, including Sunil Grover, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ranvir Shorey, and Mukul Chaddha in significant roles.

For the second season, the similar cast is all set to return, reprising their roles in the upcoming second season. Sunil Grover will resume his character as Sonu Singh, Mukul Chaddha as Mr Ahuja, Ashish Vidyarthi as Dilip Iyer, Ranvir Shorey as Inspector Digendra, and Girish Kulkarni as Inspector Tambe.

Directed by Vikas Bahl and Rahul Sengupta, the upcoming season continues the story from the end of the first season, with DG and Tambe finding Kapoor’s murderer.

Meanwhile, Sunil Grover has a few projects lined up including R K aur I, Blackout, Carry on Jattiye, and an untitled series with Kapil Sharma.
