Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan shared the good news that he and his wife Aarthy have welcomed their third child, a son. Taking to X, the actor shared a video from the naming ceremony, which gave a glimpse of his son and revealed the family has named him ‘Pavan.’ The couple is already parents to daughter, Aaradhana and son, Gugan.
In a moving video, Sivakarthikeyan was seen seated with his family members to perform the naming ceremony. The video gave a rare glimpse of his family. Sharing the video, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, “With all your blessings and wishes, we have named our little one Pavan Sivakarthikeyan.”

On the work front, Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film, Amaran. It is said to be a Tamil-language action-war film, written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. The movie will also feature Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Hanun Bawra, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, Gaurav Venkatesh, and Shreekumar in the pivotal roles.
The teaser was released on his birthday, earlier this year. In the teaser, Sivakarthikeyan portrays the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, commander of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company in the Indian Army. The gripping 90-second teaser showcases the Major preparing his troops for a perilous counterterrorism mission amidst escalating tensions in the war on terror. Major Mukund tragically lost his life in combat with militants in Shopian, Kashmir, in April 2014. He was posthumously awarded the nation’s highest peacetime gallantry honour, the Ashok Chakra, for his exemplary valour and sacrifice.
