“Brellies” can’t keep calm, as Netflix has finally dropped the much-awaited update about the next season of The Umbrella Academy. After leaving the fans turning and tossing for over a year, the OTT giant has announced the release date of the fourth and final season of the series. The official goodbye for The Umbrella Academy will kick off in August this year. On Thursday, the official Instagram page of Netflix shared a series of pictures, featuring the prominent casts of the show. Apart from introducing the cast as the character of The Umbrella Academy, the posters revealed that the fourth season will kick-start on August 8. This season, the show will shed its previous ways of introducing a 10-episode and will debut with six episodes.
The first slide shows Hollywood star Elliot Page, who was transformed from Vanya Hargreeves to Viktor Hargreeves. In the second slide, we can see Tom Hopper dressed as Luther Hargreeves. The next picture features David Castaneda, who plays Diego Hargreeves. The post also includes Ritu Aray as Lila Hargreeves, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison Hargreeves, Robert Sheehan as Klaus Hargreeves, Justin H Min as Ben Hargreeves, Aidan Gallagher as Five Hargreeves, and Colm Feore as Sir Reginal Hargreeves.
Sharing the pictures, Netflix wrote, “Hello: February 15, 2019. Goodbye: August 8, 2024. The final season of The Umbrella Academy is coming.” The caption refers to the date on which the first episode of the show was premiered.

The Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy hit Netflix in June 2022. Since then the fans have been desperately waiting for the next season. The drama show debuted in 2019, with its second season shortly following in 2020. For the unversed, the critically acclaimed series is an adaptation of the graphic novels of the same name written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. The Umbrella Academy is directed by Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater.
Jesse McKeown, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Scott Stuber, and Beau Bauman are the executive producers of the series. Way and Bá also serve as co-executive producers. The series is produced for Netflix by UCP. The show revolves around a family of former child heroes. The suspense is created after they have grown apart and must be reunited to continue to protect the world.
