Actor Triptii Dimri recently shared insights about her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal and the mixed reactions the film received following its release. Known for her standout performance as Zoya in the 2023 hit, Triptii attended the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024 on September 25, where she participated in a session titled “Struggles to Stardom: The Untold Story of My Bollywood Breakthrough.”
During the event, she explained her decision to take on the role of Zoya, stating, “For me, I don’t like staying in my comfort zone. With Bulbbul and Qala, I found that comfort, and while I love drama, being on those sets always energised me. However, when Animal came along, I found it truly challenging.”
Triptii highlighted the importance of pushing boundaries as an actor, noting that each role should feel both exciting and daunting. “As an actor, it’s important to take on something that pushes you. Every time I get a role, I feel like it’s both scary and challenging,” she said. Zoya’s character intrigued her, balancing bravery with innocence, making it a compelling choice.
Addressing the critiques that her character faced, she remarked, “I would approach Zoya’s character exactly the same way I did. As humans, we all have different shades—good, bad, and even ugly. Films allow us to explore these sides.” She emphasised that acting provides a unique opportunity to experience a range of emotions throughout one’s career.
Last seen in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal, Triptii is set to appear in the highly anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, releasing in theatres on November 1, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan.
