Trisha Krishnan is getting brutally trolled for allegedly supporting Harry Potter author JK Rowling amid her transphobic comments controversy. The author has made several comments against the transgender community since 2020 and has been called out by stars like Daniel Radcliff and Emma Watson.
As per a Reddit post, Trisha shared Rowling’s X post on her Instagram Story to extend her support and call her a ‘boss’. After a netizen wrote on X that they burnt Rowling’s books, the author replied, “I get the same royalties whether you read them or burn them. Enjoy your marshmallows.”

As per the Reddit post, Trisha shared this interaction on her story and wrote, “Like a boss.” However, Trisha’s story cannot be seen on her account at the time of publishing this article. Several fans questioned if Trisha is a transphobe or if this is just a PR fail and the actress was unaware of Rowling’s comments.
One person wrote, “I wish I could earn money by doing literally nothing just like Trisha’s PR team.” Another added, “Why are people discounting the possibility that Trisha could be a transphobe as well if not her SM manager maybe?” One Reddit user wrote, “I think this is more of a PR fail. Trisha may not be aware of recent developments but her team should have known better!” Another added, “What a disappointment.”
For the unversed, back in 2020, JK Rowling reshared an essay on “people who menstruate”, taking issue with the fact that the word “women” was not used instead. “‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?” she wrote.
After receiving a lot of backlash for her remark, Rowling posted on X, “If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.”
She continued, “I respect every trans person’s right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them. I’d march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans. At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it’s hateful to say so.”
More recently, Rowling attacked Olympic athlete and Algerian boxer Imane Khelif with transphobic remarks. However, Khelif isn’t a trans woman and the incident only highlighted Rowling’s transphobia. Khelif then filed a cyberbullying suit against Rowling, Elon Musk and others who spread misinformation about her.
