Vedang Raina Shares Reaction To Ranbir Kapoor's BTS Singing in Rockstar: 'Kuch Nahi, Negative'
Ranbir Kapoor's iconic portrayal of a singer in Rockstar left many convinced of his singing abilities, thanks to his flawless lip-syncing. However, actor Vedang Raina, like many others, changed his opinion after watching a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video of Kapoor's performance.

Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of a singer in Rockstar has become legendary, with fans continuing to applaud his performance years after the film’s release. His convincing lip-syncing in the movie was so well-executed that many believed he had real singing talent. However, perspectives shifted when a behind-the-scenes video showcasing his lip-syncing techniques went viral. Among those whose views were influenced by the video is actor Vedang Raina, who recently revealed his reaction to seeing the footage. In a candid interview, Vedang shared, “Kuch nahi, it was negative.”

In his conversation with Lallantop, Vedang expressed how Ranbir’s work in Rockstar inspired him to sing and perform. He said, “Ranbir ki jo lip-syncing hai, I have always been a big fan of him, and he does it brilliantly. Toh mai bohot curious tha, and Rockstar meri favorite film hai, toh mai BTS dekhna chahta tha, ki wo actually gaa sakte hain ya nahi.”(Vedang admired Ranbir Kapoor’s lip-syncing abilities, expressing his long-time fandom and highlighting his curiosity to see if Ranbir could actually sing, especially since Rockstar was his favorite film.)

He further elaborated, “Toh mai thoda bohot gaa leta tha, and mere dimaag mein tha, he must be a singer, kuch pitch toh hogi, but it was negative. Toh maine unse yeh pick up kiya ki, pitch-match karne ki koshish nahi karunga, mai bas performance pe dhyaan dunga.”(Vedang explained that, though he had some singing experience and assumed Ranbir would have pitch control, the reality was different. He learned from this to prioritize the performance aspect over pitch matching.)

On the work front, Kapoor’s next project is Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where he will star alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. According to reports from Pinkvilla, the filming for the movie started in early October 2024, with Alia set to join the production in December.

Additionally, Kapoor is also involved in Ramayana Part One, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, featuring a stellar cast including Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol. He also has Animal Park lined up as another future project.
