BIGBANG’s Taeyang launched his highly anticipated 2024 solo concert tour, The Light Year, in Seoul on August 31. The event, which had fans eagerly awaiting his performance, turned even more spectacular with an unexpected treat: Taeyang’s bandmates G-Dragon and Daesung joined him on stage. The trio ended up performing their superhit track We Like 2 Party, sending the audience into a frenzy.
Several videos and pictures of their reunion are going viral on the internet as elated fans share their enthusiasm on social media. During this time, G-Dragon and Taeyang also performed their Good Boy for the first time in many years.
Despite the major hiatus, the duo received immense praise for their seamless performance and strong stage presence. While Daesung made a guest appearance on Day 1 of The Light Year concert, setting the stage on fire, the trio reunited on the second day in Seoul.

On September 2, Taeyang took to his social media handle and shared a bunch of photos from the concert. In addition to pictures of him on stage, he also included a few taken with G-Dragon and Daesung. The pictures instantly went viral with many coming forward to leave comments like “Thank you for coming back,” “So happy,” and “Big Bang is Back.”

G-Dragon also reposted the pictures on his personal handle, along with a short clip of them posing for photos. For those unaware, Taeyang held his first solo concert in seven years, The Light Year, on August 31 and September 1. It comes on the lines of his most recent release EP, Down to Earth, which came out in April 2024. He collaborated with BTS’s Jimin, BLACKPINK’s Lisa and many more.
On the other hand, Daesung has consistently dropped new music. His latest one, titled Our Memories, came out in March 2024.
BigBang Disbanded?
Over the past several months, speculations about the K-pop boy band’s disbandment have been making the rounds. Earlier, Seungri left the group following his involvement in the Burning Sun scandal. T.O.P also left amid legal conflicts due to marijuana use, leaving BigBang with just three remaining members.
The group has also been removed from YG Entertainment’s website, leaving fans more clueless about their future.
