When Alia Bhatt ‘Jumped’ In Excitement On Receiving This Movie Offer With Salman Khan

Alia Bhatt has made a mark in the film industry with her back-to-back strong performances. After notable characters, Alia firmed her position as a prolific actor with Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actress won several Best Actress awards for her portrayal, including the National Film Award. But did you know Alia Bhatt was offered another huge Bhansali script with Salman Khan before Gangubai Kathiawadi? The actress announced that she would join Salman Khan and the Devdas director for a love story titled Inshallah in 2019. Alia Bhatt was thrilled to receive the offer and revealed that she ‘jumped’ upon hearing about it, in a previous interview. However, the film reportedly got shelved due to creative differences.

When Alia Bhatt was asked about her first response to being offered Inshallah with Salman Khan, Alia said “Literally, I ran to the corner, and I jumped up and down for five minutes because I was so excited,” during a conversation with Bollywood Hungama. Alia also mentioned that she was abroad when she received the call.

Sharing the news, Alia on X wrote, “Dream with your eyes wide open they say & I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together & I can’t wait to join them on this beautiful journey called “Inshallah.”

Inshallah recently came into headlines again as Alia mentioned that she hopes the film is revived as it’s a brilliant love story, during an interview with The Lallantop.

Currently, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the shoot of another film by Bhansali, Love & War. In this, she would be featured alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal. The epic is set to hit theatres on March 20, 2026. The film would mark Alia and Ranbir’s second film with the director after Gangubai Kahthiwardi and Saawariya respectively, and Vicky Kaushal’s first.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently hosting the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 18. He will next be seen in the action film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, as per reports. Sikander is scheduled for a theatrical release on Eid 2025. Salman is also set to star in Kick 2.
