When Siddharth Chopra Got Engaged Twice Before Exchanging Rings With Neelam Upadhyaya

Priyanka Chopra’s brother Siddharth Chopra recently got engaged to Neelam Upadhyaya. Photos from the private event have been surfacing on the internet and have become a hot topic of discussion. The actress-entrepreneur expressed her happiness and shared a few photos of the special occasion.

The roka ceremony was attended by Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas and close relatives. Amid these celebrations, Siddharth Chopra’s previous engagement ceremonies are also being discussed.

As per reports, Siddharth was previously engaged to Ishita Kumar in 2019. Their marriage was also fixed. Photos of their engagement began doing the rounds of the internet and sister, Priyanka Chopra also congratulated the couple. However, reportedly, Siddharth Chopra and Ishita Kumar’s wedding got postponed due to an emergency surgery. Later, their wedding was called off and they unfollowed each other on social media. Meanwhile, Ishita Kumar also deleted her Roka ceremony photos. After the wedding was called off, Siddharth and Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra reportedly said that her son is not yet ready for marriage.

Previously, before getting engaged to Ishita, Siddharth was dating Kanika Mathur and the duo were very much in love. Their families made arrangements to get them married in 2014. However, once again the wedding was called off due to undisclosed reasons. There were speculations that Siddharth cancelled the wedding by claiming that he wanted to focus on his career.

Meanwhile, Neelam Upadhyaya and Siddharth Chopra dropped a few photos on Instagram. While Siddharth is dressed in a pastel pink shade of Sherwani, Neelam is seen looking stunning in a blingy purple traditional attire. The caption read, “So, we did a thing.”

Reportedly, the couple were rumoured to be dating for quite some time. They made their first public appearance together in 2019 at Ambani’s Ganesh Puja. Later, in 2020, she was spotted in their Holi party as well. Rumours had surfaced that the couple got engaged, as Neelam was sported wearing a ring. But, the actress rubbished the claims saying the ring was on her “right hand”.
