Actor Salman Khan recently threw a private bash at his Bandra house which saw the presence of Hollywood star Will Smith. If this media report is anything to go by, the Bollywood actor announced at the party that he’d want to wed Iulia Vantur on his parents' 52nd wedding anniversary.
Salim Khan married Sushila Charak (later rechristened Salma Khan) on November 18, 1964. Interestingly, it wasn’t just the date that he revealed, but also shared his plans of having a quiet ceremony with the attendance of just 15-20 people.
For the uninitiated, Iulia is a 36-year-old Romanian model-actress who had visited India for the first time on a tourist visa back in 2011. It was her friendship with Salman, that made her come back a year later on a work visa. While she couldn’t realize her Bollywood dreams, she was seen in a cameo in Alvira-Atul Agnihotri's film, O Teri.
Rumours suggest that Iulia’s visa expires in November. But once she marries Salman, she can continue to stay in India.
Interestingly, Salman’s sister Arpita also married Aayush Sharma on November 18 at the Taj Falaknuma in Hyderabad in 2014.
