Chiranjeevi ANGRY At Varun Tej For Hiding His Relationship With Lavanya Tripathi: 'I Wish He Was...'
Varun Tej will soon be making his Hindi film debut with Operation Valentine. The film is all set to hit the theatres on March 1.

At the recently held pre-release event of Varun Tej’s highly anticipated film Operation Valentine, his uncle Chiranjeevi spilled the beans about their equation and also revealed that he wasn’t aware of his love story with Lavanya Tripathi.

At the event, when Anchor Suma asked why he never leaked about his nephew’s love story with Lavanya to the fans, since he has a tendency to reveal movie titles and plotlines through his social media handle ‘Chiru leaks’, he laughed and added, “Varun tells me everything, but he hid this from me. He didn’t even give me a hint. He always says he’s inspired by me; I wish he was inspired enough to tell me he’s dating Lavanya. He often tells me things he doesn’t tell his father either. So, I’m still angry with him.” Varun then added, “He (Chiranjeevi) is still the first person I told. I couldn’t previously because I respected and was scared.”

Later, the Vishwambhara actor also heaped praise on his nephew and said that Varun has created his own identity. The veteran actor added that Varun may have followed in his footsteps by becoming an actor, but he has never picked the kind of roles like he did. “Because of the atmosphere he has observed at home since childhood, Varun could never think of anything but being an actor. I have great regard for the film industry. While he followed in my footsteps, I appreciate the roles he picks,” he said, elaborating, “He has been attempting such different subjects every time; he sets himself apart. I think Operation Valentine is the first film in Telugu on the subject,” he shared.

Coming back to Operation Valentine, the film marks Varun Tej’s debut in the Hindi film industry and former Miss World Manushi Chhillar’s South Indian film industry debut.

The film is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, Sandeep Mudda’s Renaissance Pictures, and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment (Vakil Khan) and Nandakumar Abbineni. Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, an ad-film maker and VFX expert, will be making his directorial debut with this film. Written by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, Aamir Khan, and Siddharth Raj Kumar, the film will be released on March 1, 2024, in Telugu and Hindi. Inspired by true events, it is a patriotic, edge-of-the-seat entertainer starring Varun Tej as Arjun Dev and Manushi Chhillar as a radar officer.
