John Stamos is opening up about the sweet moment he shared with twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen when they reunited at their Full House co-star Bob Saget’s funeral. It was in May when John publicly revealed being angry at the twins for not returning to Fuller House, the Netflix reboot of the hit ’90s show. Stamos said Bob Saget played an instrumental role in keeping the cast together and his death brought a moment for him and the twins to frankly discuss the show and their dispute. Now, during his recent appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, the actor recalled meeting Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at the funeral.

According to the accounts shared by John, the Olsen twins assembled the cast of Full House and expressed gratitude for the eight years they spent on the show together. “We love you. We loved our childhood. We’re grateful for you guys, we thank you for making those eight years so beautiful for us. We have such fond memories. And everyone just needed to hear that,” said John Stamos.

The Olsen twins shared the role of Michelle Tanner in the hit ’90s TV series, while John was the lead protagonist Jesse Katsopolis and Bob Saget essayed Danny Tanner.

Bob Saget passed away unexpectedly in January 2022 owing to a brain bleed after accidentally hitting his head in an Orlando hotel room. He was 65 at the time. “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on the scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” stated Orange County Sheriff authorities while confirming Bob Saget’s death.

The Philadelphia-born actor was notably credited for his stunts in hit sitcoms including Fuller House, How I Met Your Mother, and America’s Funniest Home Videos. The late actor, who also rose to prominence for doing stand-ups, is survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo, and three daughters that he shared with his first wife Sherri Kramer.

Meanwhile, John Stamos was on the show to promote his new book titled If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir.
