Karan Johar and Kajol share a strong bond and have been going strong for over 25 years now. However, there was a time when the two had a massive fall out. Reportedly, it was during 2016 when KJo’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clashed with Ajay Devgn’s film Shivaay at the box office.
Recollecting their fall out and how years later they have rekindled their friendship, Karan shared, “It happened years later, with Kajol, which was also like such an emotional bond. We felt we would never be together, both landed up. I remember messaging Kajol when my babies were born and we haven’t spoken in two years. I just sent her images of Yash and Roohi. I said you don’t need to reply but these are what my children look like – Yash and Roohi. She messaged back and she said, I am just full of love right now. Month later, she said it’s my birthday, you don’t have to come but i went. We hugged, we cried and it was done.”
Karan had earlier in his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy shared about the same. “I wouldn’t like to give a piece of myself to her at all because she’s killed every bit of emotion I had for her for twenty-five years. I don’t think she deserves me. I feel nothing for her any more. I’ve been told by my friends that it’s still my hurt talking but I’m so indifferent to the situation now, what with everything that’s transpired. There was still a bit of me that wished we would get back to what we had, but that one-word tweet that she put out – that was the most humiliating thing she could have done for a person who loved her deeply. That broke me. Once it broke me, it angered me and then I went into indifference.”
However, now both of them are extremely close to each other and are now spotted every now and then partying together.
