In Mukesh Chhabra’s upcoming podcast on Mashable India, he talks to famous directors about how they pick actors for their movies. He recently shared a teaser featuring guests like Kabir Khan, Farah Khan, Raj and DK, Hansal Mehta, and Imtiaz Ali.

The filmmakers share interesting stories about choosing actors for their films. Recently, Kabir Khan talked about why he chose Salman Khan for the role of Tiger in the first movie of the series. He also said that before picking Salman, he was thinking about Katrina Kaif for the role of Zoya. He mentions one of the clips, “This was the stage where they had broken up and they weren’t that comfortable.” Years later, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, superstar Salman Khan, who reprised the role of Tiger in the third installment of the popular action franchise, had said that he is excited by the idea of a Zoya spin-off. He said, “Why not? But Zoya would be really incompletely without Tiger. So, Tiger will have to be there and save the day and the climax even if he’s not there throughout the entire length of the film.”

Filmmakers Raj and DK, too, spilled the beans on their hit web series, Family Man, revealing that the lead character would’ve taken a completely different turn if Manoj Bajpayee hadn’t jumped on board. On the other hand, Imitiaz Ali hilariously recounted how Alia felt overwhelmed during the making of his film, Highway, because there was just “so much to do.” Imtiaz also spoke about casting Ranbir Kapoor in both Tamasha and Rockstar.
