Divya Khosla Kumar’s directorial Yaariyan was a box-office success. Over eight years after its release, the film is set to get its second instalment, Yaariyaan 2. The makers dropped a motion poster of the upcoming film to tease the audience with little details of the plot. Yaariyaan 2 will be helmed by Sanam Teri Kasam director duo, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. The motion poster shared on T-Series’ Instagram page hinted that the story is based in Mumbai as the illustrations showed Mumbai Local, taxi, and Gateway of India. “Cousins by blood, friends by choice! With new directors on board, Divya Khosla Kumar will be seen taking up a role in front of the camera and will play a pivotal part in the film. Yaariyaa 2 features Anaswara Rajan, Meezan Jafri, Warina Hussain, Priya P Varrier and Pearl V Puri in lead roles.

This film will mark the Bollywood debut of Pearl, who has established his name on TV. Pearl became a household name with her appearances in TV serials like Naagin and Bepanah Pyaarr. Sharing motion posture on his Instagram feed, he asked his fans to shower love like they always have.
“Finding friendship in family and family in friends! Coming back to you is the beautiful story of Yaariyan 2. My first film! My debut! Shower your love like you always do let’s all fly high together!!” he wrote in the caption.
Yaariyan 2 is backed by Bhushan Kumar Krishan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Aayush Maheshwari under the banner T-series Films and Rao and Saprli Films Production.
The 2014 film Yaariyan, featuring Himanshu Kohli, and Rakul Preet Singh, narrated the story of college students, who learned about love, values, ambition and all about life as they try to save their college from getting sold.
