The day that follows the new moon, or Amavasya, in the bright fortnight of the lunar month, is celebrated as Vinayaka Chaturthi, also known as Varad Vinayaka Chaturthi.

The term “Varad” signifies the act of seeking the fulfilment of one’s wishes from the divine. This festival involves invoking Lord Ganesha, who bestows wisdom and patience upon those who faithfully observe this fast.
