The mighty feared Australia looked like a shell of themselves as they entered the tournament and faced two consecutive deflating losses. But, luckily enough, the championship caliber still pumps life through the ranks as the Aussies recouped and won the next two games consecutively in order to take up the fourth spot in the points table currently, barely hanging on to the final slot for the semi-finals.

The Netherlands on the other hand were touted to be amongst the bottom of the pack, with no chance for any form of upset. But, to everyone’s surprise, the Men in Orange took to South Africa, defeating the seemingly-invincible and firepower-laced Proteas in what may very well be the biggest upset of the tournament.

Not only that, the Netherlands lower-order batters have consistently proven that they are one to go down without a fight. So, this encounter between the two sides may promise to be an entertaining one as well.

Captain’s Comments:

Pat Cummins (AUS): We will have a bat. Looks like a lovely wicket. The sun is out. Happy with the way we have played the last couple of games. The bridge is still too far for Head. Still would need a few more days. Stoinis has a niggly calf. Cam Green comes in. Looks a good day to score runs.

Scott Edwards (NED): We were looking to bowl first. Team is in good place. We have played good cricket but not for long enough. We would want to rectify that. The boys would want to do well. No changes.
