IAS Tina Dabi, who topped her UPSC batch in 2015, has been in the news every now and then. Social media keeps a detailed record of her career trajectory, personal life, documenting her achievements. She became the first female collector of Jaisalmer, making history. Her marriage to IAS officer Pradeep Gawande after her divorce from IAS Athar Amir Khan, also made headlines. Now, the IAS officer is in headlines again after she welcomed her first child with husband Pradeep Gawande on September 15.

The two got married in April 2022 and are now the proud parents to a baby boy.
Earlier in July, Dabi shared a post on social media before embarking on her maternity leave. She thanked the people of Jaisalmer for their love and support during her tenure. She said that it was a blessing to serve the district.
With this, she shared an array of photos from various events conducted during her tenure as District Collector and Magistrate in Jaisalmer. This included the Swachh Jaisan and Ladies First (Jaisan Shakti), as well as securing All India Rank 2 in Niti Aayog’s Aspirational District Programme.
IAS Ashish Gupta was announced to replace her in the position of Jaisalmer Collector. Ashish Gupta served in Jaipur as the Managing Director of RajCOMP Info Services Limited as well as the Commissioner and Joint Secretary of the Department of Information Technology and Communication.

Dabi is an alumni of Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram College. She came into limelight after becoming the first Dalit to top the civil services exam. Before being appointed District Collector of Jaisalmer, she was the joint secretary in the Rajasthan finance department.
