The Chartered Accountant (CA) exams scheduled for November 2023 in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh have been postponed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The ICAI CA exam for November 2023 has been rescheduled as a consequence of legislative assembly elections in a number of states. The CA exams scheduled for November 7 and 17 in select specified exam centres in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will now take place on November 19 as informed by ICAI. Aside from the tests on November 7 and November 17, the ICAI further stated that no other exam dates will be altered.
The official notification informing about the revision in the exam date read, “In partial modification of the Institutes Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/NOVEMBER – DECEMBER/2023 dated 5 July 2023, it is announced for general information that in view of the Legislative Assembly Election in the state or chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, the chartered Accountant Examinations, November 2023, as per details given below, stands postponed and the said examinations shall now be held on 19th November 2023 (Sunday) at the same venues) and at the same timing(s).”
The ICAI also stated that the CA exam admit cards, exam time, and venue issued for the November 7 and November 17 tests will remain unaffected and valid.
The examinations will now be held on November 19 between 2 pm and 5 pm with papers 3 and 4 for the foundation course held between 2 pm and 4 pm, and the final elective test given between 2 pm and 6 pm.
According to the announcement, the ICAI CA final, group I, paper 4 (Corporate and Economic Laws) scheduled for November 7 in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon has been rescheduled until November 19.
Originally set for November 17, the Intermediate group II paper 8 (Financial Management and Economics for Finance) will now also be conducted on November 19. Now the ICAI has rescheduled this exam for only those students who were appearing from Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, Bilaspur, Raigarh and Durg, and MP’s Bhopal, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, Katni, Khandwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Satna and Ujjain considering the elections.
The ICAI has rescheduled the CA examination exclusively for students hailing from select regions. This includes Bilaspur, Durg, Raigarh, and Raipur in Chhattisgarh as well as Bhopal, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, Katni, Khandwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, and Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
