Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO on Wednesday confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 12, in India. This successor to the iQOO 11 will be introduced in the country on December 12, a month after its China launch on November 7.

The company has already confirmed that its upcoming iQOO 12 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The company has also claimed that the iQOO 12 series will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s most powerful processor in India.
Ahead of the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro launch in China, the company has also revealed the design of the iQOO 12 Pro model’s BMW M Motorsport edition. Camera details of the phone have also been teased.
A company official took to Weibo to unveil teaser images for the iQOO 12 Pro. From the images, you can see a slightly curved back with glossy finishing. Notably, aside from the BMW M logo, which reads “Fascination Meets Innovation," there are no prominent branding logos on the device.
Furthermore, the camera module appears to be a square with curved edges , featuring the ‘100X’ branding, suggesting that the iQOO 12 Pro’s cameras will support a 100X digital zoom feature–similar to other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The module itself seems relatively large, nearly occupying the entire top half of the device. Also, The rear side has three camera lens. Now, we can expect a 100X telephoto camera, a wide lens and an ultra wide lens.
According to reports, the basic iQOO 12 model will be backed by a large 4,880mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro model will pack a massive 4,980mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
The iQOO 12 is also expected to come with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
