The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the SSC results today, June 17. A total of 96.94% have passed the Maharashtra SSC exam. The link to check the marks online has been activated at mahresult.nic.in, sscresult.mkcl.org, maharashtraeducation.com, result.mh-ssc.ac.in, and mahahsscboard.in. Students can access their 10th results using their roll number and date of birth.
Maharashtra SSC Result LIVE Updates
Out of the total students who cleared the MSBSHSE SSC exam, 97.96% are girls and 96.06% are boys. This means, girls have outperformed boys. As many as 12,210 schools have scored 100% pass percentage while 29 schools have recorded 0% pass percentage. Konkan division has recorded the highest pass percentage with 99.27% while Nashik division has recorded the lowest pass percentage with 95.9%. There are nine divisions in total — Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, Konkan.
A total of 16,38,964 students had registered for the Maharashtra SSC exam which includes 8,89,505 male and 7,49,458 female students. A total of 112 students were found to be cheating in the exam and hence their marksheets have been withheld. While 79 students were caught doing malpractice, 32 were found by the examiners while checking the papers after the examination. One dummy student had appeared for the Maha SSC exam. All the cases were later investigated.

Maharashtra SSC Result 2022: What to Check
Students need to download their marksheets and then ensure it is error-free. To do so, students need to check the following and in case of any discrepancy, report to the school or the MSBSHSE authorities immediately. They must check their name and spelling, school name, exam centre name, marks totaling, grades, percentage calculation, spellings and pass/ fail status.
Maharashtra SSC Result 2022: Decline in pass percentage
The pass percentage of 96.94% is however, a decline from last year when a total of 99.95% of students cleared the exam. In 2020, a total of 95.30 per cent of students had passed the exam. It must be noted that the exams were not held in 2021 and evaluation was done on the basis of class 9 and class 10 internal assessments.
Maharashtra SSC Result 2022: Passing marks
Students will need to score at least 35 per cent marks in order to pass the MSBSHSE SSC board exam 2022. Students can also access their result through the board’s SMS facility. Close to 20 lakh students had appeared in Maharashtra Board’s class 10 exams. MSBSHSE SSC exams were conducted offline between March 15 and April 4 this year.

Maharashtra SSC Result 2022: Not happy with marks? What to do
Students who are not happy with their marks, can apply for recounting or verification of marks. Students will have to submit self-attested copies of their mark sheets online on the MSBSHSE portal. The applications for photocopies of answer sheets can be made from June 20 to July 9, after which it be sent for re-evaluation. The online result will be considered as the provisional marksheet and the final marksheets will be released by MSBSHSE in due course of time likely in a few weeks. The marksheets will be distributed to schools. Students will then be able to collect their marksheets from their respective schools.
Maharashtra SSC Result 2022: Supplementary Exams from July 27
The supplementary examination for students who failed the Maha SSC exam will be held from July 27. It will continue till August 12. The schedule of the supplementary examinations will be announced soon. Students who fail in two subjects can appear for the supplementary exams while those who failed in more than two subjects will have to repeat the class.
Maharashtra SSC Result 2022: Best of 5 Formula
The Maha SSC results are calculated based on the best of five formulae which means even if students appeared in six subjects, the final percentage will be calculated based on the best 5 marks or the five subjects in which they have scored the best. This will be taken into account during FYJC admissions, which will likely begin soon.
Maharashtra SSC Result: Grace marks in MSBSHSE 10th drawing exam
Students who could not appear for their government drawing or elementary drawing exam due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions will be given grace marks to pass the exam. State education minister Varsha Gaikwad had said, “SSC students of the 2021-22 batch, who were unable to take the Government Drawing (Elementary Drawing Exam) due to COVID-19 curbs, will be entitled to additional marks based on their grades in the Intermediate Drawing Exams held earlier. This will benefit meritorious students."
Maharashtra SSC Result: What was the mass cheating case?
MSBSHSE had asked teaching and non-teaching staff to keep their mobile phones away during the SSC and HSC exams held this year. This was to ensure there is no mass cheating or use of unfair means during the exam. The step was taken after several students and teachers had posted videos on social media alleging mass cheating was taking place at many exam centres in Maharashtra. Students had claimed that photos of question papers and answers were shared through instant messaging app Snapchat. It was also found that students clicked pictures of the question papers and sent them to their private teachers.
Maharashtra SSC Result: What Happened During Last Years
Last year, the Maharashtra board was forced to cancel the physical examination for Class 10 due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students were awarded marks based on their performance in Class 9 and internal exams in Class 10. A total of 99.95 per cent of students cleared the Class 10 examination and got promoted to the next class. This was one of the highest passing percentage in the last few years. In 2020, the pass percentage was 95.30%, in 2019, it was 77.10% and in 2018, it was 89.41%.
