‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya Dham: The entire event will be telecast live on DD News and DD National channels of Doordarshan

While Ayodhya is preparing in full swing for the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, those who can’t make it to the temple town, too, will get to watch the proceedings.

WHERE TO WATCH?

Live telecast arrangements have been made for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya Dham.

The entire event will be telecast live on DD News and DD National channels of Doordarshan.

A Media Centre will be set up at Ram Katha Sangrahalay in Ayodhya with limited capacity, where large LED TVs will be set up to facilitate viewing of the telecast.

LIVE TELECAST AT NEW YORK’S TIMES SQUARE

A live broadcast of the ceremony will be showcased at New York City’s renowned Times Square in the US. The event will also be broadcast at various Indian embassies and consulates around the world.

Preparations are also being made to broadcast the event at thousands of temples and booths across India.

EVENTS & GUESTS

With a limited guest list, Ram Mandir will be inaugurated in the presence of PM Modi among other leaders on January 22. Among those invited are thousands of seers from across the country and families of the labourers who erected the temple in Ayodhya.

As per Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, around 7,000 people are on the invitee list which also includes names of popular Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, and industrialists.

Vedic rituals for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram) in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony.

A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals of the ceremony on January 22.

From January 14 to January 22, Ayodhya will mark the Amrit Mahotsav. A 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will also be organised, in which thousands of devotees will be fed. Several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya to accommodate thousands of devotees, who are expected to arrive in the temple town of Uttar Pradesh for the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

According to the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, arrangements will be made for 10,000-15,000 people.

Local authorities are also gearing up for the anticipated surge in visitors around the grand ceremony and are in the process of implementing enhanced security measures and making logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.

AFTER JANUARY 22

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing a grand ‘Ram Lalla Darshan’ plan for devotees from across the country, with a two-month long exercise to bring Ram bhakts (devotees) to Ayodhya by special trains and buses after January 22.

Around 25,000 devotees could be brought to Ayodhya daily as part of the plan.

The BJP has appointed coordinators in every Lok Sabha constituency in the country to ensure the exercise is smooth.

A ‘Ramdarshan Yatra’ campaign committee has also been formed by the BJP, which includes BL Santhosh, Sunil Bansal and Tarun Chugh. Multiple special trains and buses will be run for the convenience of the devotees, and their accommodation, food and travel arrangements will be made.
