Meanwhile, earlier, a massive jam on Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road caused massive problems for commuters leading the Joint Commissioner of Traffic to issue an official statement about what caused the nightmarish roadblock. The officials highlighted the traffic was doubled owing to the announced Bandh and people leaving the city to celebrate the long weekend. But the reasons weren’t enough to squash the frustration of an X user whose kids reached home from school at 9 pm. “This is a disgraceful statement from the government. Instead of making excuses, maybe admit that Bangalore has no public transport, terrible drainage, badly maintained roads, and poor city planning. My children returned from school at 9 pm, and these guys are blaming the citizens,” said the parent.
