Renault Teases Kardian Crossover, Set To Feature New Lighting Pattern
Renault has revealed a teaser image of the Kardian, a new B-segment crossover. It will make its debut on October 25, 2023.

Renault has teased its upcoming car Kardian, which will be available as a B-segment crossover.

The Renault Kardian is set to make its premiere on October 25 and will feature a new design philosophy. The Kardian is set to be unveiled later this month in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro. The Kardian will reportedly be launched in South America before the French automaker plans to make it available in other places.

There is no timeline on an Indian launch yet but since the crossover is meant for emerging markets there is a possibility of it landing on our shores too.

The teaser image shows a close-up of the new logo in the diamond-detailed grille of the crossover. The new crossover is less than 13.62 feet (4.15 metres) long, and Renault boasts of its “high ground clearance.” The carmaker displayed the liftgate of the crossover, displaying the model word mark beneath the new emblem, a part of the taillights, and the roof spoiler.

Renault Kardian: Design And Features

The Renault Kardian is the automaker’s first vehicle outside of Europe to showcase its new front profile design language. The teaser shows the Kardian with a revamped company logo and its own lighting signature. The new images aren’t extremely revealing, but they do highlight the crossover’s small form. It has narrow LED headlights at the top of the face, as well as grey plastic inserts in the bumper that will most likely house the fog lights. The teaser image also reveals what seems to be a trapezoidal lower grille aperture.

The photos show the crossover’s roof bars and rear fenders. It might be a high-riding alternative to the Dacia Sandero Stepway hatchback, with robust modifications such as an increased ride height, integrated skid plates, plastic cladding on the fenders and wheel arches, and other aspects to give it a muscular look.

Previously, Renault showcased the crossover’s liftgate, exposing the model word mark beneath the new logo. In addition, a section of the tailboard and the roof spoiler were shown.

Renault has not unveiled the interior of the Kardian, but anticipate it to include a slew of contemporary technologies. A 1.0-litre engine with a peak power output of 64 horsepower would power the crossover. There will also be a turbocharged 1.0-litre engine with 88 bh peak output.

The debut of the new Kardian will reportedly coincide with the unveiling of Renault’s new foreign market strategy.
