Eight members of the panel have reportedly given names of people who should not depose before it.
New Delhi: The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) is unlikely to call former telecom minister A Raja to depose before it in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.
The next meeting of the JPC comprising parliamentarians is now set for July 18.
Sources say that the JPC is of the view that there is no need to call key accused A Raja for cross-examination.
Eight members of the panel have reportedly given names of people who should not depose before it. They include former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and former defence minister George Fernandes.
The list of witnesses has to be finalised by next month.
