New Delhi: The recent option of negative voting or NOTA given by the Supreme Court has too many takers in Seemandhra. A whopping number of 63 per cent voters would press the reject button in 13 Seemandhra districts, says a survey conducted by RG's Flash Team.
The survey was commissioned by the Congress MP from Vijayawada L Rajagopal. The business tycoon cum MP is a vocal critic of the creation of Telangana state.
A press release issued by him indicates that total 63 per cent voters would press None of the Above or NOTA button in the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. The highest would be in Rayalaseema region's Ananthapuram with 74.3 per cent voters want to press NOTA and in Visakhapatnam, it will be the lowest with 50.3 per cent. Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra (together known as Seemandhra) have 25 Lok Sabha seats and 175 Assembly seats.
The press note does not give details of the sample size, methodology, main issues and duration of the survey.
