Nagaur: A taste of rural life of the desert state of Rajasthan welcomed the participants at the annual Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha as RSS members from across the country converge at the three-day event.
A thatched house, a makeshift hut, a camel cart, and a Khejri tree - all carrying the signature of social life in Rajasthan - are the centre of attraction for the participants.
While the hut is dotted with the items important for the day-to-day social life in the state, the thatched house depicts the beauty of rural life with earthen water pot, lantern at the gate, hukkah, farming and cattle rearing tools, and wooden toys for children. The decorated camel cart is also getting the attention of the participants.
On the premises of the house is a state tree - Khejri, which is important for deserts and has a special place in the hearts of the Bishnoi community. "This is to showcase the village life of Rajasthan to our members who have come here from various parts of the country," an RSS functionary said.
A painting exhibition has also been organised which shows the glorious history of Mewar through the artwork. Details of medicinal plants and their uses have also been highlighted in the exhibition. The three-day annual event began on Friday.
