Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday suspended an MLA from Bihar for openly criticising party leader Sushil Modi. BJP MLA Amarnath Gami had hit out at Sushil Modi calling him "power hungry".
"Sushil Modi has hijacked the party. He does not want party cardres to progress and therefore he suppresses them. That's why I am against him," Gami had said.
Sources said on Sunday that a revolt is brewing within the BJP Bihar unit with at least three leaders threatening to leave the party to join the Janata Dal (United).
The JD(U) broke its alliance with the NDA after Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was appointed the election campaign committee chief of the BJP.
