New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha, on Monday, saw the Opposition demanding the resignation of Home Minister Shivraj Patil, forcing the Chair to adjourn the proceedings till 12 pm.
The BJP chanted slogans repeatedly - "Home Minister resign", "Home Minister, Down Down" and "Terrorist genoice will not be allowed" - in view of the UP bomb blasts on November 23 in which 14 people were killed and 59 injured.
Question hour could not be taken up in the Parliament due to the furore, prompting Rajya Sabha Chairman Mohammad Ansari to assure the members that the discussion would be taken up post-noon.
Shivraj Patil was conspicuous by his absence in the House.
