Mahayuti Coordination Committee will be established to maintain coordination among the three parties, sources informed

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday chaired the Maharashtra BJP core group meeting at BJP Headquarters in Delhi to discuss strategies regarding the upcoming polls in Maharashtra. BJP national president JP Nadda, Union Minister and co-incharge of Maharashtra Ashwini Vaishnav and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the meeting.

Senior BJP leaders including Rao Saheb Danve, Chandrashekhar Bawan Kule and Piyush Goyal were also present in the meeting.

Apart from discussing the roles of individuals, the core committee will draw the plans for the Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, sources in BJP informed that the grand Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra will form a central coordination committee for the Assembly elections. The Mahayuti Coordination Committee will be established to maintain coordination among the three parties.

It has been learnt that the coordination committee of Mahayuti will work to prevent mistakes occurred during the Lok Sabha elections in the state and to campaign for its candidates in the upcoming Assembly polls.

BJP Prepares For Maharashtra Polls

After its disappointing performance in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has now started working towards retaining its power in the state. The BJP suffered a major setback in the recently-held Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra.

The saffron party won only nine out of 28 seats it contested. The Mahayuti alliance — which also has Shiv Sena led by CM Eknath Shinde and NCP led by deputy CM Ajit Pawar — had secured 17 seats, while the MVA won 30 seats.
