New Delhi: Former BJP leader Sanjay Joshi on Monday claimed he received a threatening letter among the many such messages he has been getting from unknown sources. Joshi quit the BJP last month citing pressure from Narendra Modi.
A vociferous Modi detractor, Joshi's resignation was the price the Gujarat CM extracted from BJP President Nitin Gadkari to attend a party meet in Mumbai last month.
The letter, a copy of which is with IBNLive, has not been signed by anybody. The brief letter in Hindi asks Joshi to stop working against the writer's 'boss', who also remains unidentified. The letter ends with a clear threat of killing Joshi if he does not stop his 'activities'.
Following is a translated version of the letter:
Sanjay Joshi,
Your activities have increased lately, and I don't like that. Now you will ask who I am. Then I must tell you I happen to be your and your organisation, RSS' father. The way you are creating hurdles for our boss is not right. If you create more trouble, you will be killed.
Your father.
