189. Kota North is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Kota Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Kota North falls in Kota district and Hadoti region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a urban seat.

There are a total of 2,36,634 voters in the seat, which includes 1,21,878 male voters, and 1,14,756 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Kota North recorded a voter turnout of 73.78%. In 2013 the turnout was 76%, and in 2008 it was 60.4%.

In 2013, Prahlad Gunjal of BJP won the seat by a margin of 14,861 votes (9.04%). Prahlad Gunjal secured 48.21% of the total votes polled.
