New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad blamed former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh for the demolition of the Babri Masjid saying the RJD had got nothing to do with him.
"He is the convict in the demolition of Babri Masjid. He is not a member of the Samajwadi Party," said Lalu about Kalyan Singh, who has joined hands with the Samajwadi Party and is contesting as an Independent from Etah.
The RJD chief claimed the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) would be able to form the next government.
"We are winning most of the seats and the UPA will form the government. Left Front will not support the communal forces," he said.
In his characteristic style Lalu also added that no one could campaign like he does.
"I am used to all this. Is there anyone who can campaign like I do? I can campaign for 24 hours," he added.
The former Bihar chief minister is contesting Lok Sabha elections from two seats - Saran and Pataliputra.
While Saran voted in the first phase of election of April 16, elections in Pataliputra will be held in the fourth phase on May 7.
Both Saran and Pataliputra are new constituencies having come into existence post delimitation.
Lalu is facing a tough contest at Saran where is facing Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajiv Pratap Rudy while in Pataliputra seat Janata Dal (United) candidate Ranjan Yadav is Lalu's main opponent.
