Patna: 4:27 pm: "JD(U) workers even attacked BJP women protestors. JD(U) leaders identified women BJP workers and attacked them. All this was done under instructions of Nitish Kumar and senior JD(U) leaders," alleges Mangal Pandey.

The Bihar Bandh called by the Bharatiya Janata Party two days after the Janata Dal United walked out of the National Democratic Alliance has been partially successful in some parts of Patna.

The JD(U), however, is unmoved by the BJP's bandh call and is calling it "cheap politics". "This bandh is an eyewash. BJP has come down to this level of cheap politics," said JD(U) spokesperson Sanjay Singh.

Meanwhile, the JD(U) President Sharad Yadav on Monday said that the party consider coming back to the alliance if veteran BJP leader LK Advani returns at the helm of the party.

"We will consider rejoining NDA if Advani returns to helm. We had fought 2009 elections projecting Advani as our PM candidate. Advani has now been sidelined within the party," he said.
