New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Sunday hit back at the state's opposition saying that they were trying to destabilise the government and were ready to use any means possible to achieve their goal. She also said that certain sections of the media were publishing false news in order to derail her government.
Mayawati said, "The Opposition parties are using all means just to destabilise our party ..Some sections of Media are also publishing wrong news just to destabilize our party... I want to tell them all this will not affect me."
She also blamed the Congress for the high poverty levels in the country saying that it was the Congress who has been in power most of the time since independence and still nothing has been down for families living below the Poverty Line.
"Congress is responsible for the poverty in country... Congress has been in power most of the time since independence... Congress government is unsuccessful in removing poverty... Nothing has been done for BPL families," she said.
Not just the Congress, she also lashed out at the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that neither party did anything to bring back black money from foreign countries.
