New Delhi: Parliament will have two extra sittings in the ongoing Monsoon Session - this Saturday as also the next Saturday.

The meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday decided to have the two Saturdays as working days, and a similar decision is likely to be taken by the Lok Sabha.

The sitting of both the Houses is not taking place on September 1 on account of Ganesh Chaturthi. The Houses may not sit even on August 31 if Eid is celebrated that day.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said that the two Houses would take up Government business on this Friday as also the next Friday and would devote its attention to private members' business on Saturdays.

Government managers have been complaining that several bills were yet to be considered by Parliament in this session, which is concluding on September 8.

Parliament was disrupted for several days in the ongoing session over various issues affecting the official business.
