As the battle for Bihar enters its decisive stage with phase three polling on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a sharp personal attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the JDU-RJD-Congress Mahagathbandhan, calling the alliance "3 idiots".

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that Nitish and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav were engaged in ‘Mushayara’, a race of jokes.

"Only Loktantra can win an election, not Tantra," he further said, without mentioning the video where Nitish was seen meeting a Tantrik, and discussing about the alliance with Lalu Prasad’s RJD.

The Prime Minister also made a slew of promises to lure the voters. While he promised electricity to all the households in the state by 2022, Modi also said that he would ensure roads and water supply to for all.

"This election will decide the fate of Bihar. Believe in development and we are here to give you development," the Prime Minister said, pointing that "in the last 16 months, I have not rested for a single day and I will dedicate myself to serve my people."

Reaching out to the Dalits, the Prime Minister said, "Today is Valmiki Jayanti, I am here to serve the Dalits and poor."
