Second major police reshuffle by Jaya govt
The new government had effected the first major reshuffle of IAS officers on Monday.

Chennai: In the second major reshuffle of top Tamil Nadu officials since assuming office two days back, the Jayalalithaa government today transferred 25 senior IPS officers.

Additional DGP, Intelligence, M S Jaffar Sait has been shunted out and appointed as ADGP Special Officer, (Sri Lankan Refugees) Camp at their headquarters in Mandapam, Ramanathapuram.

T Rajendran, who was moved out as Chennai Police Commissioner within hours after the AIADMK government assumed office and appointed ADGP Prisons, has again been transferred as ADGP, Intelligence.

The new government had effected a major reshuffle of IAS officers on Monday.

Principal Secretary Sheela Rani Chunkath in a press release said S R Jangid, ADGP, Special Officer, Central Police Recruit School, Pallavada has been posted as ADGP, Chief Vigilance Officer, State Transport Corporation (Madurai) Ltd, Nagercoil.

ADGP S George, State Human Rights Commission, will now take over as ADGP Law and Order, replacing K Radhakrishnan who will be the new ADGP Vigilance TNEB.

Dr K Radhakrishnan, ADGP, Law and Order, Chennai, will now be ADGP, Vigilance (Tamil Nadu Electricity Board), in place of Ashish Bhengra, the release said.

P Sivanandi, IGP (West Zone) Coimbatore, has been shunted out and posted as IGP Chief Vigilance Office, State Transport Coporation, Kumbakonam.

The release said P Thamarai Kannan, IG (Administration) would be the new Additional Commissioner (Law and Order).

Abhay Kumar Singh, IG (Headquarters) has been posted as Additional commissioner, Crime and Headquarters.
