New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party workers indulged in street fights in the national capital, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was detained in Patan district in Gujarat and prevented from holding a rally. Kejriwal was on a roadshow in Gujarat and was attacking Chief Minister Narendra Modi on the development front.
AS the day progressed, the situation turned ugly and more than 20 people from both the sides have been injured and had to be taken to hospital. In Gujarat, the BJP workers allegedly broke the glass of Kejriwal's convoy but the AAP leader was not in the car at the time of the attack.
I strongly condemn the AAP’s violent protest at the gates of BJP office today in Delhi. It shows AAP’s undemocratic and anarchist character.— Rajnath Singh (@BJPRajnathSingh) March 5, 2014
