Chiranjeevi opened up about participating in the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya. The Telugu superstar was spotted at the Hyderbad airport on Monday morning with his son, actor Ram Charan, heading for Ayodhya. Before he boarded his flight, Chiranjeevi spoke with ANI and said that he is ‘overwhelmed’ by the invite to attend the pran-pratishtha (consecration) ceremony. Being a devotee of Lord Hanuman, Chiranjeevi feels Lord Hanuman ‘personally invited’ him.

“That is really great, overwhelming opportunity. It is a rare opportunity. I feel Lord Hanuman, who is my deity, I think he personally invited me. I am undergoing such a overwhelming feeling and we are so fortunate this consecration, this pran-pratishtha,” he said. Watch the video below:

Ram also spoke to the publication and said, “It’s a long wait, we are all very honoured to be there.”

Ahead of their travel, Ram Charan got special gifts from fans. Hours ahead of leaving for Ayodhya, Ram Charan met his fans outside his residence in Hyderabad when the RRR star was presented with a specially crafted Lord Hanuman idol. Crafted by the renowned sculptor Amarnath in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, the 3-ft bronze idol symbolizes the spiritual connection between fans and their beloved star.

“I want to thank each and every one of you who consistently visit the blood bank every Sunday. Your unwavering commitment to donating blood does not go unnoticed. I am grateful to those who travel from every corner to join us. Recently, we had the honour of attending the Ayodhya Ram Mandir pran pratishta, a truly blessed and proud moment for all of us. On behalf of you all, I will be visiting Ayodhya, praying at the Ram Mandir for the well-being of you and your families. Your blessings mean a lot. Thank you very much,” he said.

Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi joined stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Rajinikanth, Anupam Kher and more.
