Vikram actor Kalidas Jayaram is currently busy working on his upcoming project titled Nila Varum Velai, which reportedly went to the floors about a month ago. Now, the actor has given an update regarding the film’s schedule.
Nila Varum Velai officially started shooting on February 10 in Palakkad, Kerala. An update regarding the upcoming release has been shared by the film’s lead Kalidas Jayaram on his Instagram stories. According to the actor, they have wrapped up a schedule for the film. He shared the news with an image of himself, with the director of the film, A Hariharan.
Nila Varum Velai is said to be a period thriller set in the period of 70s, with supernatural as well as paranormal elements, as per reports. It is being helmed by A Hariharan, and stars Kalidas Jayaram as the lead, along with Prabhu and Radikaa Sarathkumar, who are to appear in prominent roles. They will be supported by Vivek Prasanna and Deepak Paramesh.
Nila Varum Velai is being filmed in Telugu simultaneously with the Tamil version. In Telugu, actor Sathyadev is set to play the protagonist, while Prabhu and Radikaa Sarathkumar will also feature in this version, playing the same roles. Rahul Ramakrishna and Shatru are appearing in supporting roles in the Telugu version.
Shruthi Nallappa is producing the film under the banner of Miracle Movies. While Mukesh Ganesh is handling the cinematography and the editing is being done by Bhuvan Srinivas. The duo Vivek-Mervin will be composing music for the film.
Kalidas Jayaram was last seen in the Tamil film Por, released on March 1. It is directed by Bejoy Nambiar, where Kalidas Jayaram and Arjun Das were seen as the leads. The cast also included Nikita Dutta, Sanchana Natarajan and TJ Bhanu in important roles. Bejoy Nambiar, Prabhu Antony, and Madhu Alexander produced the film under T-Series. His other notable works include films like Vikram, Poomaram, Mr and Ms Rowdy, Happy Sardar and many others.
