The film not only gave limelight to Vijay and Trisha but other supporting cast members also received much appreciation. One such actress was Reeja Johnson, who is better known by her stage name Mallika.

She played the role of Vijay’s younger sister in Thirupaachi and impressed the fans with her unique performance in the film. Along with this, her comedy scenes with Vijay are still remembered by viewers. She was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in Tamil for her role. Meanwhile, recently, a few photos of Mallika, along with her family, went viral on social media.

Mallika mainly appeared in Malayalam and Tamil films. She made her acting debut in 2002 with the Malayalam film Nizhalkuthu. But she got her breakthrough after playing a significant role in Cheran’s Autograph in 2004.

Following this, she played supporting roles in several Tamil films. She later went on to play in a teleserial called Anjali. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Autograph. In 2012, she won a Special Mention from the Jury at the 59th National Film Awards for her performance in the film Byari, the first feature film made in the Beary language.
