Apple Could Soon Bring iPhones And MacBooks In Matte Black Colour
Apple launched a black matte iPhone 7 variant many years back and now it wants to try its luck with MacBooks as well.

Apple fanboys could soon get iPhones and MacBooks in the popular matte black variant as the company seems to have a patent that allows it to use the textured material for its products. The patent was reportedly filed in 2020 and has finally received approval from the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USTPO) recently.

The patent basically allows Apple to use anodised matte black parts that offer a pristine matte black finish without any gaps in the design. The images available through the patent also suggest that Apple could bring the matte black variant for iPhones and Apple Watch as well.

To be fair, Apple has launched the iPhone with a matte black colour but the feedback for the iPhone 7 series was not positive enough for the company to prolong the variant for a couple of more years. Taking a patent for this variant suggests Apple is now serious about the material and wants to make sure the product has the right quality before it launches in the market.

Talking about the MacBooks, Apple has not felt the need to bring a matte colour MacBook for decades, even though matte black skins are extremely popular among MacBook users. The new patent in Apple’s armoury hints that a matte black iPhone could be rolled out in the near future, but not likely to happen this year, with the new iPhones launching in less than a week’s time.

Apple iPhone 15 series is coming out on September 12, and it is widely believed that the company will have iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this year as well. The Pro models are rumoured to get major camera upgrades, including a periscope lens for the first time on an iPhone.

The company could offer the dynamic island notch for all the iPhone 15 models this year. The iPhone 15 Pro series could feature a titanium body which could drive up the price of the product.
